Each organisation can set up the data necessary to identify an individual in the context of GDPR requests.

By default, Fair&Smart proposes the identification of a requester on the basis of the following information:

  • Surname, First name;

  • Date of birth;

  • Address;

  • Email;

This information can be customised by creating datasets that correspond to your organisation.

The concept of dataset

A dataset defines the data structure of your organisation.

For example:

  • a "natural person" dataset could contain information such as surname, first name, date of birth, etc.;

  • a "customer" dataset could contain a "customer number", a "registration date", etc.;

  • an "address" dataset could contain the fields "Street type", "No.", "Street name" etc.;

These datasets can be created to define the information necessary to identify a person issuing a GDPR request.

Creating a dataset

  1. In the Administration > Dataset screen, click Create dataset;

  2. In the Information panel, enter the name of the dataset;

  3. Click Add property to list the fields in your dataset;

  4. Fill in the information about the added field. For example "Date of birth", Type = Date

  5. Click Validate;

  6. Repeat from step 3 for all the fields to be added;

  7. Click Save;
